Knox is led by a 10-person session that includes the teaching elder (pastor) and ruling elders of the church that meet once a month to lay policy, discuss church business, pray over Knox’s members, and make decisions for the future. The current session is:
Pastor Justin Olivetti has been in the ministry for two decades as a youth pastor, associate minister, and now as senior pastor of Knox. He is a graduate of Moody Theological Seminary (Michigan) and is married to his wife Joy, with whom he has four children. Pastor Justin is known as a quirky, easy-going, and warm man who has a heart for God and his people. His hobbies include biking, writing, reading, and video games. Youth Director Steve Bermel grew up at Knox Church and came up through the Youth Programs. He’s been directing the ministries since 2007 and is passionate about presenting the gospel to kids from 6th-12th grade. He has been pied in the face quite a few times. Secretary Mary Ernst joined the Knox staff as Church Secretary in Sept 2007, after serving as Church Secretary at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church from 1992 until its closing in 2007. She also concurrently served at Knox briefly in 2006 during the maternity leave of the Office Manager. It is Mary’s true joy to serve the Lord in offering secretarial/administrative support to the pastors and congregation of Knox. She is married with 3 daughters and 1 granddaughter. Custodian Charles “Jeff” Jeffrys has been married to Kathy Jefferys for 41 years and has two boys. Jeff worked for the Ken-Ton school district for 41 years before “retiring.” There, he worked in 13 schools, including the Admin. building. He was also a Combat Engineer in the Army Reseves for 22 years, where he achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. He currently serves as custodian, head usher, and an occasional missionary to Mexico.
